How DeMix Pros Software Un-Mixes Tracks For Remastering
Our AI-powered software creates individual stems for you to work with in post-production
If you’re a producer or mastering engineer, our software is the best you will find to help you un-mix tracks. Demix Pro is powered by AI, so it takes all the hassle out of un-mixing tracks for remastering later. It has unmatched flexibility with unlimited, non-destructive track separations, merge track functions, and a built-in multichannel mixer. We’re your one-stop shop for un-mixing a track quickly and easily, for remixing, remastering, or up-mixing.
Our AI technology creates the best quality stems on the market, which makes your job easier. Before you get to post-production, you can take the individual stems from your unmixed track and adjust the levels, remove vocals or backing vocals, and isolate instruments.

How to UnMix Tracks for Remastering
Step 1: Install DeMIX Pro as shown here
Step 2: Load an audio file
Step 3: Click on the 'Four stems' button in the top panel to get the Vocals, Drums and Bass.
Note the two options; 'Vocal noise gate' will reduce additional noise on the vocals and 'Perfect reconstruction' allows you to either get the best quality or so that all the stems added back together will recreate the original audio signal.
Step 4: Click Accept, and wait for the software to separate your file. When the separation is finished, you will see four new tracks in the multi-track view.
Step 5: You could now click the Vocals button and select the Vocals track to separate and this time choose Lead Vocals if you further wish to separate the vocals.
Step 6: Optionally to get the Electric Guitar track you can click 'Instruments' from the top panel, select your 'Other' track and in the next panel choose 'Electric Guitar' and click accept.
Step 7: You can now solo or mute the vocals or individual instruments depending on what you are looking for.
Our Recommendations for Best Results
We suggest using a high-quality, uncompressed recording when possible. The best results will be achieved with uncompressed files such as WAV, AIFF, or FLAC. Although DeMix Pro supports formats like MP3 and M4A, these are compressed in a way that degrades the audio quality, which makes separating them difficult.
